Dr. Melissa Kerr is a licensed Doctor of Naturopathic medicine and a licensed Acupuncturist.   She graduated with a BS in Computer Information Systems from the University of Florida.  She was the Founder and Chief Software Engineer of ProWorks, a company that built customer service software systems. Dr. Kerr left ProWorks to focus on raising her three sons.  As the mother of a child with severe asthma and allergies, she struggled to find a medical intervention to improve her son’s condition.  Her frustration grew as no one attempted to treat the cause of his conditions, but instead treated only the ‘symptoms’ with harsh pharmaceuticals.

     This path of discovery led Dr. Kerr to the field of Naturopathic Medicine.  As soon as her 3 boys were in school full-time, she began a six year, full-time educational path, receiving both her Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (ND) and Masters in Acupuncture from the University of Bridgeport, graduating Summa Cum Lade in both programs.  Dr. Kerr ‘s passion for solving complex problems has led to her specialties in complicated chronic illnesses and preventative / wellness care.
